OeNPAY’s goal is to help shape the future of e-ID applications in Austria. A comprehensive e-ID solution offers benefits for individual users, businesses and public institutions. That’s where this contest comes in:

To tackle this task, OeNPAY is crowdsourcing ideas for new e-ID applications that transcend the range of existing solutions. The sky is the limit for your creativity!

Here are a few questions to get you inspired:

• Can you think of everyday situations that e-ID technology can help improve?
• Where can e-ID solutions make life easier (e.g. at the pharmacy, office)?
• How and where can e-ID technology unlock opportunities for individuals or specific groups (e.g. simplify processes or save costs)? What are the opportunities for businesses and public institutions?
• Which fields of application or situations can benefit from digital interactions based on e-ID solutions?
• Are you aware of international e-ID applications that should be implemented in Austria?
• Which digital trends are emerging right now, and where could e-ID solutions come into play?
• Can you think of future issues that could be resolved with e-ID technology?
• Are there any technologies that could benefit from the integration of e-ID technology (e.g. in that they expand the quality or function of products or services)?

Please note that your idea must meet the following requirements:

• Describe a concrete e-ID application that addresses a specific problem or unlocks specific benefits. Highlight the pros of using e-ID technology in your use case – do not submit a list outlining general ideas.
• Your submission must add clear value for individuals, groups, the general public or the business community. Provide a detailed description of what this added value is.
• Implementation of your e-ID solution must be realistic.

After the deadline for submissions, a jury will select the best ideas based on the following criteria: potential benefits, innovative value, security, sustainability, inclusion and user experience.

Pitch a particularly promising idea, and you'll get invited to meet with the OeNPAY team.

Selected high-potential applications will be analyzed and developed further – and possibly even implemented with partner organizations. This is your unique chance to turn your idea into reality together with OeNPAY.
